Regional Development Agency "Volyn" (RDA "Volyn")
The Volyn regional public organization Regional Development Agency "Volyn" (RDA "Volyn") is non-government, non-commercial, non-profit organization, which was established in 1997 (the date of registration is April 11, 1997) by mean of citizens' joining up according to the Agency establishers' resolution.
The organization's history: participation in the International conference "Poland - East" (Krynitsa Gurska, Polish Republic, 1999-2002); realization of the project "Economical cooperation possibilities of Volyn Region (Ukraine) and Lyublin Province (Poland)", 1999; participation in the Volyn youth organizations Center "Nasha Sprava" ("Our Business") project "Youth chooses democracy", which purpose was to draw the youth to participate in the President election (1999); work on the project "PAUCI" - "The influence of regional policy's macroeconomic conditions on the development of agriculture, enterprise in a country-side - sharing of experience", the RDA "Volyn" appears as a partner of Polish organizations - the participants of the project from Ukrainian side (2001); participation in the International conference "Poland and Ukraine: Trade and Cooperation" (Odessa, March, 2001), preparation of materials for sharing the experience Ukrainian-Polish cooperation on Volyn Region example; participation as a partner in organization of "Hot Line" Regional representative (free enterprise consulting - supporting by program "BIZPRO" (2001); participation in the program "Regulatory Reform in Ukraine" - realization of batch normative resolutions on the local level (2001); realization of the project "Transparent Elections" (2002) - Fund of Regional Initiatives.
The RDA "Volyn" is the associated member of the "National Association of the Regional Development Agencies of Ukraine" (NARDAU), the RDA has also its representative in Olshtyn (Poland), is a partner of the Varmin-Mazur Regional Development Agency, the Lyublin Business School, the Lyublin Development Foundation, the East Studios Institute (Warshava, Poland).
The Agency conducts its activity all over the territory of Volyn Region and in the Polish Republic. The RDA helps its members and serves its business partners in the following:
- development of interaction "community-authority" democratic mechanisms;
- working out and realization of the concrete clients' economical and social projects;
- supporting of small-scale and medium-scale businesses' development.
Activity directions of the RDA:
- Introducing the elaborations of the local and regional development strategies and plans experience to the region, establishment and favoring the functioning of territorial communities, non-government organizations and public societies that must cooperate with local authority in a goal to solve the activity and development problems.
- Cooperation with foreign regional development agencies and other non-government institutions (innovational centers, bureaus of technological development etc.) for adopting its experiences according to the activity trended on the structural reorientation and territorial development.
- Initiation of business activity directed on new job places and manufactures creation.
- Assistance to local companies, firms, enterprises, scientific institutions in search of partners, investors and customers of products and services due to conducting of presentations, advertisement activities and marketing investigations.
- Informing of the community and interested people about the Agency's activity in structural reorientations sphere in Volyn Region by creation and regular renovation of the Web-site in Internet and publishing of informational bulletins.
- Advertisement of the newest technologies and foreign partners' production that could be useful for production development in Volyn Region.
- Initiation and realization of the projects as to structural and institutional reorientation of Volyn economy.
The purpose of the Agency is favoring to marketing reforms development, practical realization of the concrete projects of structural reorientation in the region and allaying of negative social consequences that appear during regional adaptation to market economy conditions. The Agency furthers the integration of Volyn Region and European cultural space.
